Chapter Philanthropy

Our Chapter prides itself on our commitment to the community and to giving back. We volunteer at a variety of organizations relating to helping children throughout the year. Some of our past organizations have been the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Bernie’s Book Bank, Ronald McDonald House and Feed My Starving Children.

The philanthropy we are most proud of is our relationship with the Child Life Department at NorthShore University HealthSystem’s Evanston Hospital. Every year, we apply for a grant through the Sigma Foundation so they can purchase something to help with their services. After the grant is received and the items purchased, we visit them to see it in use. In addition, we make “ME” dolls for their little patients to decorate and to keep after their hospital stay. We invite the area collegiate to join us.

Our chapter has also developed a strong relationship with the Chicago March of Dimes.  We participate in the March for Babies Walk, volunteer at the Chicago March of Dimes Signature Chef Benefit and we have made NICU & Sibling Kits for local March of Dimes affiliated hospitals in the area.
